Primary Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility is to ensure that the customer’s product is packed properly to eliminate any possible damage that could be caused from shipment. As with all positions at Tree of Life Canada we expect that all actions will be consistent with Tree of Life Canada’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Scheduled: Monday - Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm
12-month contract position
Essential Functions:
- Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food)
- Affix labels properly on products.
- Build product displays to ship out to customers.
- Rework any skids required.
- Ensure that glass items are wrapped properly and that no heavy items are placed on top of crushable items.
- Wrapping completed skids with film and applying appropriate labels.
- Place ASM labels on each case for specific required orders.
- Ensure designated items are placed in plastic bags to prevent spillage.
- Secure caps on liquid items.
- Affix customer label properly to tote(s) or box(es).
- Re-stock supplies and clean work area at shift end.
- Other duties and special projects as requested.
- Must maintain good attendance.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required with a minimum of one (1) year experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Must be able to communicate well with internal customers and management.
- Must follow safe work practices, as instructed.
- Must work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
- Must be able to operate computer terminal and RF scanners.
- Must be able to reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. The associate is required to stand and walk while performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm.
